In the sound of firecrackers, a renovated ship called “Qing Yuanyu 012”leaving Zhou Yu Wharf after joint inspection at anchorage ground, headed to high sea fishing area of Pacific Ocean on 27th June at the time of half past eight to catch tuna.As a professional ultralow temperature tuna longline fishing vessel, its cryogenic temperature reaches -60℃. “Qing Yuanyu 012” is going to join Ping Tai Rong fleet officially, all procedures are under progress.

Ministry delegation group from Fisheries Department of Tanzania Zanzibar paid a visit to Ping Tai Rong Ocean Fishery Group along with Provincial Fishery Association leaders on 21st, May. PTR Chairman Mr. Ni Jianbo and President Mr. Ni Yongyi welcomed them warmly. First station, Rongzhou Company, its spacious plant and orderly management towards production field caught their eyes to look over tuna processing workshop with great interests. Furthermore modern tuna process flow was the second thing attracted the minister’s attention, so President Ni introduced how the main equipments and the production technology process work which gained his high praise. .Later, delegation group came to PTR Headquarter where Chairman Ni stated Ping Tai Rong’s development history as well as its tuna industry chain’s brief history, current operating state and various honors which impressed them a lot. Good image PTR have showed during this visiting which made the minister expressed his expectation to work with PTR in the future.

On 20th March, 2018, “Ping Tai Rong Leng 2”, an ultra low refrigerated tuna carrier, successfully docked at American Samoa Pago Pago port, after critical inspection of USCG, local immigration bureau and sanitary bureau, and then finished its unloading task, being the first national carrier traded in Samoa shore. American Samoa Pago Pago port is the strictest port under South Pacific island countries’ supervision. As we all know, once the USCG found any ship which was lack of relevant documents or procedures, this one can beinterned and faced punishment. So most of mainland tuna catching vessels shrink back at the sight of such difficulty.Last march, when our group’s related personnel attended fishery cooperation training meeting organized by Cook fisheries department, Cook government expressed American Samoa government’s expectation, who hope China’s mainland catching vessels and carries can transfer and unload at Pago Pago Port. Facing such “HospitableInvitation”, senior leaders from PTR took it very seriously and accepted this challenge firmly. They believed: although there is certain risk, with Group’s strength and international management experience, this difficulty can be overcome and meanwhile Group can take this opportunity to promote its tuna industry influence internationally. Under such strict management requirement, our group meticulously prepared to be ready. On one hand, Group gained local government support that the governor helped to coordinate in person. On the other hand, PTR set up special working team to arrange this affair comprehensively. During the process of inspection, port section was very satisfied with Ping Tai Rong Leng 2’s sanitary facilities condition and its discipline towards port regulations, especially observers from USCG and IATTC, who were very impressed by our carrier’s professional paramedic and treatment room, highly praised its medical assistance capacity. After 8 days of intensive unloading work at dock, “Ping Tai Rong Leng 2” left American Samoa Pago Pago port on 29th March and returned to Zhoushan, which showed a great international image of Chinese pelagic fishery enterprises. What’s more, it marks that Ping Tai Rong Group has been made another great step forward in globalized management and contractual capacity.

After four month of reorganization, Ping Tai Rong Leng 1 docked at Zhoushan Integrated Free Trade Zone Port on 8th April. Group held a ”Fire Safety Marine Emergency Drill” for all the ship crew, as well as safety and laweducation training before they start working in the ocean. This time we invited Mr. Zhao Weidong from Zhoushan Technician College to conduct. He taught a serial procedure about how to wear survival suit, how to put out a fire, rescue drowning, how todobasicfirstaid and abandon ships for surviving. Through manoeuvre, all seamen mastered the accident rescue skill and self or mutual medical aid methods to further improve their emergency rescue ability against accidents.Later Mr. Miao Yandi from Ocean Supervision Ministry of Putuo Procuratorate and Squadron Commander Wang Qili from Shenjiamen Frontier Police Station stated related laws and regulations and some security knowledge concerning foreign affairs. They quoted some typical cases of industrial accidents to pay seamen’s highly attention, in order to let them observe disciplines and obey laws, and to be prepared for danger. Meanwhile all crew signed “Letter of Responsibility”.In the end, this training improved vessel leading team’s safety production management ability and foreign accidents dealing ability, as well as strengthened crew members’ legalconsciousness.
